A franchisee of multiple Jiffy Lube locations has won a state House seat in Idaho.

Nov. 5, 2020—A franchisee of multiple Jiffy Lube locations has won a spot in Idaho's State House, reports Spokane Public Radio.

Brandon Mitchell (R-Idaho) has won Idaho's State House District 5-A seat, which was vacant upon election.

According to Mitchell's LinkedIn page, he is the president and CEO of Candura Corp., a Jiffy Lube franchise, which operates five locations in the Moscow, Idaho area, according to the Jiffy Lube site.

According to the report, Mitchell ran unsuccessfully for Moscow City Council in 2018.

Mitchell ran against Dulce Kersting-Lark (D-Idaho) for the open seat.
