Dec. 16, 2020—A franchisee of Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers in Columbia, S.C., raised and donated $10,000 for the Harvest Hope Food Bank.

The network of six shops donated $1 from every oil change and accepted customer donations as part of the effort, according to a press release from the food bank.

“Giving back to our community is important to us,” said franchise owner Gregg Gaskins in the release. “It feels good to know that families are going to have food for the holidays. I would like to thank all of our customers and employees; they are responsible for our continued success.”

The fundraiser has been an annual event for the shops since 2015. In that time, they've raised more than $50,000.
