Filter maker Mann+Hummel is looking back on eight decades in the business.

Jan. 7, 2021—Mann+Hummel is celebrating 80 years since the company's founding in 1941.

In that time, Mann+Hummel has employed around 22,000 people in 80 business locations, according to a press release.

"We owe our continued success mainly to our reliability, continuity and identification as a family-owned company. As chairman of the supervisory board and grandson of one of the founders, Adolf Mann, I am very proud to be able to continue the legacy that he and Dr. Erich Hummel started in 1941, along with dedicated employees," said Thomas Fischer, chairman of the supervisory board, in the release.

The German founders, Adolf Mann and Erich Hummel, started the company when they took over filter production from Stuttgart-based Mahle.
