Small Businesses Added 32K Jobs In February

The growth slowed slightly from January when 51,000 jobs were added.

March 8, 2021—Small businesses added roughly 32,000 jobs in the month of February, Small Business Trends reported. 

Pulled from the ADP National Employment Report for February, it was a slightly slower growth than in January, when 51,000 jobs were added. 

The service-providing sector provided the growth, adding 48,000 jobs, two thirds of which came from businesses with less than 20 employees. 

Franchise’s in the auto parts and dealers industry also had a solid month adding 9,400 jobs. 

Total employment over all businesses increased 117,000 from January to February as the country continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
