Honda expects to have nearly all models switch to electric or fuel cell by 2035, with the complete transformation five years after that.

April 27, 2021—Honda says that it will no longer produce gasoline-powered vehicles by 2040, reports the Associated Press.

CEO Toshihiro Mibe said the company could have 40 percent of all North American vehicle sales as battery of fuel-cell models by 2030, doubling that by 2035.

Honda's platform will be called eArchitecture, AP reports. The vehicles will begin to emerge in the market by the mid-to-late-20s.
