Meineke Car Care Center plans a huge national expansion that could bring more than a dozen locations to the Birmingham market.

According to a release from Meineke this week, the car care center plans to bring as many as 13 new locations to the Birmingham market by 2020.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based full-service auto provider currently has over 1,000 centers in 48 states and sees a demand for car care services rising over the next few years.

“The growth of the industry and the heavy demand for our services in Birmingham has made this an exciting time for Meineke," said Senior VP of Franchise Development of Driven Brands Inc. Dave Schaefers. "We are looking for multi-unit franchise partners who share an enthusiasm for the industry, a passion for their community and a dedication to help take Meineke into its next 40 years of prosperity. We are 100 percent committed to our investment in the Birmingham economy and growing our brand presence in the area.”

The company said it did extensive research on the market and found it to be an ideal metro for expansion.

Meineke said it is currently meeting with potential single-and-multi-unit franchise partners and franchisees.

The car care provider is offering financing and incentives programs for new franchisees who sign on for multiple units that include discounts on each additional license after the first and 50 percent off royalties for the first year.
