Oct. 8, 2021—An old Sonic fast food restaurant in New York could be replaced by a new Jiffy Lube in the coming months.
The town of Wappinger Falls, about 15 miles south of Poughkeepsie, will hear a proposal later this month for a 3,000-square-foot quick lube shop, according to 101.5 WPDH.
Developers say the Jiffy Lube wouldn't infringe on parking for nearby stores in the shopping center where the Sonic is located, and the site would be completely redeveloped for the new quick lube shop.
A construction timeline was not provided if the new site proposal were to receive approval.
