Dec. 21, 2021—A new Valvoline Instant Oil Change is most likely coming to a small town near Madison, Wis.
The city council of Sun Prairie, about 15 miles northeast of Madison, is expected to give final approval to a three-bay quick lube shop operated by VIOC franchisee Ivy Lane Corporation during its Dec. 21 meeting, according to a report from the city's newspaper.
The lot on which Ivy Lane is proposing to build its new quick lube shop is currently 5.17 acres, and the shop will only require around 0.84 acres. Ivy Lane is proposing the lot be divided into two, with the remaining 4.3 acres being left for future development. That will require approval from the council.
Per the report, a letter of intent says construction is expected to being in spring of 2022 pending approval, with the shop set to open sometime in the fall.
