March 2, 2022—FullSpeed Automotive announced the acquisition of six quick lube service centers in Mississippi.
According to a press release, the shops are located in Cleveland, Greenville, Kosiusko, Natchez, and Oxford, and they are currently branded as Calypso Automotive. They will become Grease Monkey shops by the summer.
FullSpeed, which also operates the brand SpeeDee Oil Change and Auto Service, has been on a growth spurt.
“With only a select number of facilities operating in the state, there is an incredible opportunity to build out our brands in high-profile markets,” FullSpeed CEO Kevin Kormondy said in the release. “Over the past few years, we’ve been on a phenomenal growth curve making now an opportune time to invest. With the right concepts, proven track records, and a booming auto aftermarket industry, we're eager to accelerate our development efforts across Mississippi.”
