April 13, 2022—Driven Brands has announced that it has opened a Take 5 Oil Change and Car Wash location in Edinburg, Texas according to a press release.
"With the Take 5 Car Wash brand, our goal is to be simply more convenient than our competition," said EVP and Group President of Car Wash North America John Teddy. "We developed the Take 5 Oil Change and Car Wash concept with that goal in mind. Two category leaders, together under one brand, providing customers with a one-stop solution for the automotive services they need most often."
Driven says the location washed more than 800 cars on its first day. They also provided oil changes to 40 cars.
By co-developing with the car wash component, Driven Brands has says it is implementing a retail approach to Take 5's structure. Driven Brands has 10 more locations like the Edinburg one planned for 2022 in North Carolina, Indiana, Missouri, Florida, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Arkansas.
