Fargo Meineke Closing After 17 Years

April 15, 2022

Meineke Car Care out of Fargo, North Dakota have decided to close their shop to avoid compromising reasonable pricing and their high level of customer service.

April 15, 2022—Meineke Car Care Center of Fargo, North Dakota has announced that they will be closing their doors after 17 years in business, according to an article from Valley News Live.

Shop representative Henry Holtgard cited that without access to qualified technicians and an overall increase in wages, they are choosing to close the shop rather than run the risk of forgoing reasonable pricing for their customers.

It has been a turbulent time for the business in the recent past, having lost their manager James Truman to suicide from PTSD just a few years back. “We then survived COVID-19 lockdown with a substantial lease increase during the middle of COVID, just to come out the other side with no employees to be found.” Holtgard said in the article.

Holtgard went on to say that existing employees from Meineke have been offered employment at their other locations and all have chosen to stay with the business.
