Splash Car Wash and Oil Change Adopts 'European' Approach

April 19, 2022

Splash Car Wash and Oil Change is using an indoor car wash model with extra features to open two new locations.

April 19, 2022—Two Splash Car Wash and Oil Change sites are being built in Little Rock and Maumelle, Arkansas according to an article by Arkansas Business

Splash owner Paul Stagg and his son, Chief Financial Officer Matt Stagg, operate 16 standard-model Splash car washes in Arkansas.

The indoor car wash model for these new Splash locations is inspired by an approach in Europe admired by Stagg. The facilities will include indoor cleaning areas, lobbies and restrooms for customers. The two new locations will also have wash tunnels that are at least 30% longer than tunnels in standard car washes. They will also have fast-charging electric vehicle stations available for use and an automated interior car cleaning option.

There will be conference rooms for training and planning as well as a detached building for quick oil changes. The car washes will be energy efficient by recycling their water. Stagg is also considering employing solar panels to power the facilities.

“This is not another car wash. It’s remarkably different,” Stagg said in the article. “I just think we have an extreme competitive advantage.”

The indoor car washes are expected to employ 30-full time roles each. Currently, Splash has about 230 employees overall.
