Man Arrested for Drinking During an Oil Change

May 11, 2022—A man in Virginia has received a driving under the influence arrest after allegedly drinking inside his vehicle while waiting for an oil change.

According to KIRO 7, this is the fourth DUI arrest in 10 years for 59-year-old Robert Watt of Stafford, Virginia.

When a deputy responded to a call from the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on May 5, they found Watt in his vehicle with a bottle of alcohol. The deputy also observed slurred speech and glassy eyes. Watt reportedly smelled of alcohol. 

Watt is currently being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
