When a man allegedly broke into JJ's Premier Tire and Service, the shop owner caught him and held him at gunpoint until the police arrived.

May 25, 2022—A tire and auto service shop owner in New Mexico recently caught a suspected burglar and held the suspect at gunpoint until the police were able to arrive on the scene.

According to court documents accessed by KOB 4, the suspect is facing several charges after breaking into JJ's Premier Tire and Service.

When Loiacono broke into the shop, he set off motion sensor security cameras that alerted the shop's owner to the situation. That is when the owner showed up and held Loiacono at gunpoint until police came.

Loiacono has been accused of stealing a catalytic converter from a van located on the shop's property, leading to damage that costs $4,700.

Loiacono has a criminal history. For example, in 2020, he allegedly broke into a Jiffy Lube in Albuquerque and stole $3,000 worth of tools.

As for the situation at JJ's Premier Tire and Service, a criminal complaint accessed by KOB 4 reveals that Loiacono “stated he was on the property and his plan was to take some catalytic converters, but he did not take anything tonight because a vehicle with screeching tires arrived on scene.”
