ACA Supports REPAIR Act

July 7, 2022

The ACA recommends that members show their support of the legislation by contacting members of Congress and educating others on its importance.

July 7, 2022—The Automotive Care Alliance has issued its support of the Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair Act.

According to a press release, the Auto Care Alliance is encouraging members to send letters to Congress members to showcase their support of H.R. 6570. The ACA also recommends members seek out education materials on the matter, and inform others of how they can support the legislation as well.

The REPAIR Act seeks to preserve a consumer's right to choose where they get repair work done as well as maintain a fair marketplace, keeping in mind that 70% of the nation's 288 million registered vehicles are maintained by independent repair facilities.

“ACA looks forward to working together with all the partners and be involved in a grassroots effort to gain support for H.R. 6570 The Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair Act. The opportunity to work together with the Auto Care Association as well as other associations that already support H.R. 6570 with a united effort will enhance our grass roots positions,” Ross Colket, Mid-Atlantic Auto Care Alliance president and ACA Legislative Committee member, said in the press release.
