Oct. 6, 2022—Discount Tire has debuted a new drive-thru concept store.
According to a press release, Discount Tire Pit Pass is located in Flowery Branch, Georgia. It is around 5,000 square feet, and around 2,600 square feet of that space is dedicated to a subsurface workspace.
The work approach is akin to a racetrack pit crew, and is completely visible to the customer while the work is being conducted. Customers can stay in their car during the service. Technicians implement the latest technologies in their work, including embedded tire scanners and Zebra mobile devices.
Digital displays give customers fast insight into the status of their tires, including pressure levels and tire condition. Customers can gain this knowledge by driving over the embedded tire scanners at Pit Pass and seeing the information pop up on a digital display.
"Our goal is to meet the busy lifestyle of today's modern customer and get them taken care of faster and with more personal convenience," said Tom Williams, chief experience officer at Discount Tire via the press release. "The new Pit Pass concept store is a great testament to innovation that follows putting the customer first, just as we have done for decades to offer an inviting, easy, and safe experience."
