Driven Brands Assigns Danny Rivera as Chief Operating Officer

Driven Brands has promoted Danny Rivera from executive vice president and group president to chief operating officer, with Mo Khalid being his successor.

Jan. 27, 2023 – Driven Brands Holding, Inc has appointed Danny Rivera to chief operating officer, according to a press release. Mo Khalid will take his place as executive vice president and group president, maintenance.

Rivera holds two degrees: a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering, and a Juris Doctorate. Prior to Rivera’s time at Driven Brands, he held roles at AutoNation, Burger King, General Electric, and Motorola.

He brings to the position, “more than 20 years of experience in the consumer and retail category,” which includes his most recent position as well as serving in a number of executive positions, such as the company's chief information officer and president of Meineke.

“Building on the incredible foundation that our team has created,” Rivera said, “I am committed to further differentiating our value proposition across our growing platform by more deeply integrating our offerings to meet our customers' car care needs.”

Rivera’s successor, Khalid, will be leaving his position as senior vice president, field operations, at Great Wolf Resorts to begin his new role. Khalid previously worked for Driven Brands as the vice president and chief operating officer of Meineke, making this a return for him. 

“I am confident he [Khalid] will continue to build on the momentum Danny has developed in our growing Maintenance segment,” said Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Fitzpatrick.
