Oil Can Henry’s, the trusted provider of oil changes and other preventive vehicle maintenance, announced the return of its “Be a Star to Military Families” campaign, a company-wide initiative to benefit the National Military Family Association (NMFA).

All Oil Can Henry’s service centers will donate $1for each vehicle they service October 1-31, 2015, to the NMFA.

Oil Can Henry's will also donate $1.00 for each new follower on the Oil Can Henry’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook during the month of October, up to $5,000.

“Our nation’s military families make a lot of sacrifices to help ensure our freedom,” said Tim Christensen, local owner/operator of Oil Can Henry’s in Tillamook. “They experience significant stress during a loved one’s deployment and many face difficult rehabilitation following injuries or the end of a tour of duty. My team of trained technicians and I are proud to support military families and are excited by this opportunity to help provide counseling, education, camps and other programs that strengthen and protect our nation’s military families.”

Christensen’s Oil Can Henry's service center in Tillamook is located at 1845 Main Avenue N.

Oil Can Henry’s raised $71,000 last October with its inaugural “Be a Star to Military Families” campaign, Christensen noted, and hopes to significantly exceed that number this year. All of the funds Oil Can Henry's donates to the NMFA will be used to support service members from all military branches and their families in the six states Oil Can Henry’s serves.

“We’re excited to work with Oil Can Henry’s and their local center owners again this year,” said Joyce Wessel Raezer, NMFA Executive Director. “Their donation will help us provide critically needed programs and resources to ensure that our nation's military families receive the support they deserve.”

The National Military Family Association is the leading non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of military families. NMFA’s exceptional Operation Purple® Program includes children and family programs that help military families through each stage of military deployment. Their scholarship program helps prepare military spouses for meaningful employment by helping fund degrees, licensure and certifications. NMFA also works to ensure military families have comprehensive childcare, accessible health care, great schools, and caring communities.
