AMALIE Motor Oil announces a new partnership with McGee Auto Service & Tires, made public today at a partnership kickoff at the McGee service location in Brandon. With the joined collaboration of these two Tampa Bay Area-based family businesses, customers are now able to purchase AMALIE’s renowned motor oil at all 30 McGee locations. McGee will be exclusively using AMALIE oil when customers get their cars and trucks serviced.

“Joining forces with McGee Tires is an opportunity for us to effectively serve all motorists in the Tampa Bay region with a brand that we trust and that customers trust, too,” says Harry Barkett, President of AMALIE Motor Oil. “This partnership is especially meaningful because, like AMALIE, McGee is also a family-owned, Tampa business that shares our values.”

Founded in 1903 in Franklin, PA, AMALIE takes pride in being the largest independent blender of mo- tor oils and industrial lubricants in North America. AMALIE produces a full line of engine oils, gear oils, transmission fluids, airboat oils, hydraulics oils and more. In 1998, the Tampa-based Barkett family purchased AMALIE, moving its headquarters to Tampa. Since then, the Barketts have grown AMALIE into a company with sales to all 50 states and over 100 countries, as well as naming rights to the AMALIE Arena, which houses the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning and the AFL Tampa Bay Storm.

McGee, founded in 1974, grew from selling and retreading tires at two stores to providing full auto ser- vices in 30 locations across Florida, based in Lakeland. McGee focuses on providing outstanding cus- tomer service through the guidance of its experienced technicians. Services include everything from oil changes and tire replacement to engine and transmission repair.
