May 24, 2021—Lube shop tech Marvin Mills has been serenading customers who visit the shop.

The Frederick News-Post reports that Mills likes to sing at work and shares his talents with drivers while performing regular service at The Lube Center in Frederick, Md. He's been a steady presence at the shop for 15 years and has received awards from parents company WLR Automotive.

Years ago, Mills worked at a large hotel in Los Angeles, often bumping into celebrity guests. He moved to Maryland to be closer to his mother. Now in his current job, he's developed a bit of a fan base as the singing lube tech.

“Life is too short to be any other way,” Mills told the newspaper. “Smiles are contagious.”
