Nov. 23, 2020—The organization representing OEs has sued in Massachusetts to block Right to Repair protections, which passed in a statewide vote with 75 percent in support.

The Alliance for Automotive Innovation filed its lawsuit in U.S. District Court, reports MassLive. The group says that making telematics-based repair data more widely accessible creates security risks and is unconstitutional.

The law is set to take effect on Dec. 3.
