Expandable Leaderboard Ad
The new expandable leaderboard ads are pinned to the top of the page as usual, but offer an interactive experience for website visitors. These units are wider than the traditional leaderboard (920px vs. 720px) but retain the same height (90px). When a visitor hovers over the ad unit it will expand to 920x400px, offering advertising partners a high amount of visibility for their special offers or unique creative. See above for example.
This ad unit is sure to get attention. Anchoring website content on the edges of both margins, advertising partners can utilize unique creative to tell their stories. While this unit is sure to get noticed, it is important to know that not all screen resolutions are optimal. Because of this the wallpaper ad is only served in desktop environments.
At over twice the size of a medium rectangle ad, the half-page allows for more content and more creativity to share your message. This 300x600px advertisement appears in the second position of the right rail, which locks as the user scrolls through an article. This position offers the highest viewability of any ad on the site, and with the new larger size is sure to make an impact for your campaign.
The new video ad units provide a unique opportunity to share your message in the most engaging way through a visual and audible format. The 300x250px advertisement appears on every page of the website, and provides a platform to increase views and awareness of your company’s video library housed on YouTube. The videos begin to play automatically as users scroll over the advertisement, and are equipped with your logo and text-based call to action to maximize your visibility and user engagement.
The prestitial/interstitial unit is the most impactful ad of all. The 640x480px ad pops up in the middle of the browser window and becomes the first thing website visitors see when they enter the site. This ad, served on both desktop and mobile devices, generates extremely high click rates and commands attention with a huge amount of space for your advertising message.
Page peels engage website visitors in a highly interactive way. It starts as a page curl in the top right corner of the web page. When users hover over the curl, the page peels down to present a 500x500 clickable ad. With prominent placement at the top of the page, 3-dimensional design on the page curl, and significant real-estate for your ad design, this unit is guaranteed to get noticed.
The pushup leaderboard pushes up from the bottom of the browser window, catching users’ eyes as the unit expands. The 728x90px ad stays in view as users scroll the web page and creates an in-view experience that is always above the fold. The ad remains on the web page until users click the close button incorporated within the ad unit.
