Car Theft Ends with Crash

One out-of-control car thief caused a mess near Bonanza Road and North Rancho Drive in Las Vegas Thursday afternoon, October 4, 2018. A vehicle was stolen from the Meineke Car Care at 842 North Nellis Boulevard around 1:40 p.m. According to FOX5, the unnamed suspect took the car keys from a clipboard inside the business before driving off with a customer’s vehicle. With the help of a GPS company, the police were able to locate the stolen vehicle. Evidence points to the suspect crashing into at least three vehicles before rolling the stolen vehicle as police approached. KTNV reports

A vehicle was stolen from the Meineke Car Care at 842 North Nellis Boulevard around 1:40 p.m. According to FOX5, the unnamed suspect took the car keys from a clipboard inside the business before driving off with a customer’s vehicle.

With the help of a GPS company, the police were able to locate the stolen vehicle. Evidence points to the suspect crashing into at least three vehicles before rolling the stolen vehicle as police approached. KTNV reports that police were not in pursuit of the suspect at the time of the incident.

Police apprehended the suspect on the southbound lanes of Rancho Drive at US 95 without further incident.

According to FOX5, a person in the final vehicle that was struck was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
