Seeing a need in the community, Keith Arnold, owner, decided to expand Service Lube, 1321 South Main, Maryville.
“We see so many cars that needed mechanical attention,” said Arnold about vehicles being serviced at the business. “The customer would then have to wait weeks to get the repairs completed. With mechanics on the spot, we could do the repairs right then, with only a little more wait time for the customer.”
Expansion became necessary, when the shop ran out of room and couldn’t take care of the customers in a timely manner, last summer after hiring Travis Cronk, a mechanic from Shreck’s Automotive. The additional three bays were opened at the end of 2015.
Service Lube has been a Maryville fixture since 1989, offering oil changes, lubes and transmission flushes. Now added to that are minor to major mechanical services, such as brakes, hoses, belts and about anything asked for, Joe Partridge, manager, said.
Service Lube also is handling tires, both repairs and new. All major brands can be ordered for installation.
An appointment is not needed for service, Partridge said. He has been with Service Lube for 23 years and manager for four. The staff of five can get to customers in a timely manner.
“Our goal is to provide good, honest and timely services to our customers,” said Arnold. “We’ve been well received so far. Customers are appreciative and happy with what we’re offering now.”
