Come in Commander

BJE is now carrying the Kaltey Commander Tank Controller, which is a completely automated system that ensures waste oil furnaces, waste oil boilers and used oil recycling centers generate free heat from used oil products and operate like they should.

The Kaltey Commander eliminates the need to manually monitor and refill day tanks that supply waste oil heaters with fuel. A float switch mechanism alerts a control device when the day tank level is low. The control device activates a high or low tank monitor that automatically starts a diaphragm pump to add waste oil to the day tank and then stops the pump at the proper fill level. A second valve control system protects against accidental overflow.

Kaltey Commander can be used for other self-regulating fluid transfer applications involving oil, diesel fuel, antifreeze, water and other fluids with low flash points. Visual and audible alarms warn of potential problems and can test the system for proper continuous operation.

Gather Round the Table

A new generation of tire changer is here thanks to Hunter Engineering Company. Hunter recently added the TCX57 and TCX56 advanced tabletop tire changers to its existing TCX575 line.

The TCX57 and TCX56 have powerful side shovel bead breakers and feature large tabletops with one-touch diameter adjustments. The TCX57 has an enhanced second press arm in addition to skid steers and a swing arm. The TCX56 has a conventional head version of the leverless TCX57.

The bead press system speeds and eases clamping, lubricating, demounting and mounting wheel and tire combinations. The system centers the wheel and tire to ensure maximum service strength and rigidity. The adjustable tabletop with 6-30-inch clamping range and four simultaneously clamping jaws reduces misclamping and measurement marks.

Pumped Up

Air-operated diaphragm pumps from Piusi MA are designed for reliability and high performance. The sturdy central polypropylene body, lateral half-shells and aluminum or polypropylene suction and delivery manifolds plus the use of high-quality NBR diaphragms make it possible to transfer fluids with high apparent viscosities, even when contaminated with suspended solids, as in the case of used oil.

The pneumatic circuit guarantees safety and the construction principal makes the pumps suitable for severe duty conditions or operation in potentially explosive environments.

The pumps are self-priming and can run dry without damage. They also allow the speed to be fine tuned without pressure loss.
