Dec. 19, 2022—The West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles has announced plans for implementing a digital vehicle registration process option, according to CBS News Pittsburgh.
Last week, Gov. Jim Justice said the DMV plans to broaden its internet portal services for vehicle retailers, lenders, insurance carriers and residents alike. "It will enable customers to conduct all vehicle title and registration transactions remotely, reducing long processing times while reducing costs and errors," according to CBS.
A timeline for this implementation has not yet been announced, but the digitization will allow for residents to more easily access their vehicle titles online or through their smartphones.
