June 24, 2022—FullSpeed Automotive has announced its plan for new store models.
According to a press release, beta testing of the new models will begin this year with plans to officially roll out to the entire system in 2023.
The models are referred to as the "Store of the Future" and were designed by the firm Studio|H2G in Detroit, Michigan. These models will be used for Grease Monkey and SpeeDee, which are both brands under the FullSpeed umbrella.
The designs feature express lanes that boasts a 15 minute stay-in-the-car model. In addition, the designs promise clear directional signage, new lounge areas for customers to utilize, patio seating with entertainment and refreshments available, and state-of-the-art technology to help with the overall customer experience.
“While customer experience is at the forefront of every strategic decision, we anticipate the flexible, new store models to be a real source of attraction for eager and sophisticated franchisees who want to bring our brands to their region of choice across the U.S.,” said Ron Stilwell, Chief Development Officer of FullSpeed Automotive in the press release. “When franchising, it’s critically important to ensure that the cost of build works well with the economic model and provides a great ROI for years to come. We feel we’ve achieved that with these new prototypes, saving money and construction costs while maximizing operational efficiencies to drive franchisee profitability.”
