Oct. 13, 2021—Quaker State Oil and AutoZone gifted a Texas veteran a custom 1968 Chevrolet Impala through a sweepstakes sponsored by Lowrider Magazine.
The multi-tone green Impala was customized by Lowrider Magazine and features an LS3 engine and 4L65E transmission according to a news release. Luis Martinez, a veteran and "avid lowrider fan," was given the vehicle during a celebration with his friends and family in Hidalgo County, Texas.
The sweepstakes was put on this past June by Quaker State in an effort to put a spotlight on lowrider culture according to the release.
