Ford Sees 36K Maverick Reservations in 1st Week

Since becoming available earlier this month, reservations for Ford's new compact pickup have been in high demand. 

June 22, 2021Ford CEO Jim Farley said last week during a conference reservations for the Maverick have been in high demand.

According to Fox Business, reservations for the new compact pickup topped 36,000 since they became available earlier this month. The Maverick is based on the on the same platform as the Bronco Sport compact SUV, and both will be building at Ford's Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico. The truck, which has a standard hybrid powertrain, will start being delivered this fall.

Farley also said during the conference the electric Mustang Mach-E SUV is currently sold out. Ford built just under 28,000 Mustangs and sold 10,510 in the U.S.
