A Canadian plaintiff is suing over alleged engine flaws that lead to excessive oil consumption.

June 10, 2021—A Canadian lawsuit over allegedly excessive oil consumption focuses on late-model Ford F-150s.

Ford Authority reports that the models involved are those with the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine. Relying on reports from Car Complaints, the model years are 2018-2020.

The main plaintiff in the lawsuit reported oil consumption problems early on, the report says. The lawsuit says that piston and oil rings failing to retain oil in the crankcase are mostly to blame.
