April 14, 2021—Valvoline said in a press release that it is marketing a high mileage synthetic blend oil for engines with 150,000 miles or more.
"We know taking care of an older vehicle can be challenging, and that's why we've formulated this product to help owners keep their engines running better and their vehicles on the road longer," said Michael Warholic, Valvoline technology manager, in the release.
The company says the oil is formulated to combat oil consumption, corrosion, and wear, as well as increasing cleanliness. The company is looking to capitalize on an aging vehicle population and increased attention in the car care space. The oil will be marketed as Valvoline High Mileage 150k with MaxLife Plus Technology Synthetic Blend.
