Tom’s Car Care Center in South Bend, Indiana will be celebrated its 18th annual Lube-A-Thon over the weekend, ABC 57 reports.
On July 28 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the store, located at 3201 Sugar Maple Business Court off of Cleveland Road, offered free oil changes, car washes, lunch, coffee, goodies, raffles and more to customers that donate $45 or more to the Center for Hospice Care.
Since the shop first held the event nearly two decades ago, it has donated almost $100,000 to the Center for Hospice Care, and it hopes today’s event will officially put it over that number.
The money raised goes toward the center’s general funds and to help those in need afford the programs offered.
This year’s Lube-A-Thon had a variety of vendors there offering food, products, crafts, and activities, as well as a blood drive being held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the South Bend Medical Foundation. The St. Joe Valley Street Rods were there with vehicles on display.
