Auto Care Association Announces AAPEX Events

The Auto Care Association has announced events it will be involved in at the upcoming Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) event taking place October 30 through November 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Auto Care Association (ACA) has announced events it will be involved in at the upcoming Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) taking place October 30 through November 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to a press release.

ACA will have locations at the event for attendees to visit, such as the Auto Care Association Member Center, which offers a place for attendees to rest, catch up on emails, enjoy light refreshments, and network.

Additionally, AWDA and the Import Vehicle Community will be there with booths offering complimentary meeting rooms.

ACA’s Data Innovation Center will discuss data standards such as ACES, PIESTM, VCdb, PCdb, PAdb, Qdb, and how the Auto Care Academy can assist with implementing them.

The Import Product and Marketing Awards will also be held by the Import Vehicle Community recognizing products and marketing programs currently offered for the aftermarket. 

An AWDA Sunday General Session and Reception held October 29 will be celebrating its 76th year, with an awards ceremony recognizing contributions from industry executives.

The next day, the AAPEX Reception will be held, offering complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for the standing-room-only event. 

ACA has partnered with the U.S. Commercial Service and MDCP award to offer the International Matchmaking Program, which will allow U.S. exhibitors to network with international buyers.

A keynote session will then be held by Earvin “Magic” Johnson and will also feature a presentation from ACA President and CEO Bill Hanvey and MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers President Paul McCarthy. It will be a ticketed event with limited seating.

The Import Vehicle Community will host the Import Product and Marketing Awards Presentation, open for all to attend.

Mike Chung with ACA will lead a panel on the new EV Stage at the EV Experience on the increase of EVs and aftermarket industry is reacting.

That evening, an Import Vehicle Community Fabulous Networking Reception will be held to offer Import Vehicle Community members the opportunity to network.

A Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) reception will take place, with free attendance available for all AAPEX attendees under 40 and YANG mentors, though pre-registration is required.

November 1 will kick off with an annual networking breakfast hosted by Women in Auto Care, with a Q&A led by Kathleen Long and the revelation of the 2023 Women of Excellence Award winners.

Later that day, the Import Vehicle Community Luncheon and Awards Program will take place. ACA will then hold a session in Spanish on ACES and PIES data standards, followed by an international mixer for U.S. exhibitors and international buyers.

Women in Auto Care will hold an awards ceremony that evening that is open for all to attend at no cost, followed by a Women in Auto Care reception. ACA will also be holding its AAPEX Service and Repair Awards event.

Finally, on November 2, ACA will hold a coffee and tea networking event for those interested in sustainability in the industry.
