UAF has partnered with WAI Global to introduce the WAI Global/Bill Ernst Memorial Scholarship.

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) has partnered with WAI Global to introduce the WAI Global/Bill Ernst Memorial Scholarship, according to a press release.

The scholarship will annually award $2,500 to one student who is pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket industry. Students in two-year technical college programs and vocational schools and four-year college programs are eligible to apply.

The scholarship was created in honor of Bill Ernst, who worked at WAI for 20 years as a warehouse manager, account manager and senior account manager. Ernst was adamant in obtaining new and retaining existing business, with concern for what was best for both the company and the customer. Remembered fondly by many in the industry, applicants are encouraged to keep these same traits in mind.

Applicants will be subject to the same requirements for other UAF scholarships, which includes being enrolled full-time in a college-level program or an ASE/NATEF certified automotive technical program. Scholarship recipients will be chosen by a selection committee appointed by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, including a representative from WAI Global.
