Chapel Hill Tire has partnered with the North Carolina Triangle Apprenticeship Program (NCTAP) to provide apprenticeship opportunities to high school students, according to a press release.

The company, based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, will be participating in an apprenticeship program that begins for students in 11th or 12th grade and runs for four years.

As students work towards gaining an associate degree at a local community college, they will also have the chance to work a paid internship at Chapel Hill Tire, providing them with real-world experience as they simultaneously pursue a degree.

Three separate NCTAP Facility Tours were held at Chapel Hill Tire’s Apex, North Carolina location over the past month. More than 20 students attended the open house tours and learned about what apprenticeship opportunities are available, what students could learn at Chapel Hill Tire, an overview of the facilities, and the chance to participate in a hands-on activity.

“We are thrilled to be a part of NCTAP’s vision of shaping the future workforce,” said Chapel Hill Tire President Marc Pons. “At Chapel Hill Tire, we believe in the power of education and practical experience. This program is a perfect embodiment of our commitment to nurturing young talent and preparing them for successful careers in the automotive industry.”
