After Launching Car Wash Business, Pennsylvania Brothers Open Chevron Xpress Lube

March 4, 2024
Similarly to their car wash business, Torrey and Ryan Hildebrand plan to keep the new Chevron Xpress Lube quick and simple for customers.

Two brothers in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, are nearly ready to welcome their new Chevron Xpress Lube store, reports the Lewistown Sentinel.

Torrey and Ryan Hildebrand own a local car wash, Time to Shine Car Wash, but had the desire to step into the quick service industry. The brothers don’t plan to expand upon their currently planned services, which will include 15-minute oil changes, topping off fluids, airing up tires, and an express car wash. They like to keep things quick and easy for the customer.

“We want our customers to know that when they stop, they will get an oil change. We will not be a full service station looking to upsell you on tires, brakes, timing belts, etc. Just oil changes,” explained Ryan.

Construction on the new shop at 10344 US 522 South, near a Walmart, is finally wrapping up, and the Hildebrands expect to be fully open for business by May or June. Xpress Lube will be seeking out six to seven employees, with an emphasis on recruiting local talent, as well as making an effort to collaborate with local vendors.

Compared to most franchise oil change shops, Ryan said they have more flexibility in making their own choices for their business.

“This is not a franchise as most would consider. This gives us flexibility that other options in this field cannot offer,” stated Ryan.
