New Jiffy Lube to Join Multiple Other Automotive Service Businesses in Liberty Hill, Texas

June 10, 2024
Liberty Hill is seeing an influx of businesses looking to open there, from auto service chains to fast food establishments.

Jiffy Lube, along with multiple other automotive businesses, will be launching a new location in Liberty Hill, Texas, reports the Liberty Hill Independent.

The new Jiffy Lube is currently being built to the north of State Highway 29, at the entrance to the town’s Stonewall Ranch subdivision. Located next to an Auto Zone, the Jiffy Lube will neighbor a Velocity Tire and a Brakes Plus store, which are also under construction.

Liberty Hill is seeing an influx of businesses looking to open there, from auto service chains to fast food establishments. There are currently 34 commercial projects working with the Planning and Zoning Commission, with most of them seeking plat or site plan approvals.

As these new businesses open in Liberty Hill, it appears the area will have a wide array of options when it comes to fast food and automotive service, potentially stifling the variety in business offerings.

But the Liberty Hill Economic Development Corporation’s Director of Economic Development, Mary Poche, noted that Liberty Hill is going through a period of growth right now, and there’s little the Commission can do to determine what businesses open or don’t there. Bryan Rivera, a commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Commission, has urged locals to attend public hearings to voice any thoughts they may have about the incoming businesses.

“Because we are in a hot, high growth area, business interest in locations is high,” explained Poche. “If zoning is correct and the property the prospect wishes to purchase is worked out with the seller of the property, there is not anything the EDC can do to stop that from happening. When the project kicks off and city planning is involved for review of the development agreement, and eventually the permits to start building, there would be more rules that could
be imposed, but only then.”
