As of this past Monday, Kentucky has raised its prices for inspections on out-of-state vehicles, reports West Kentucky Star.
House Bill 833, which passed in April, will allow the fee for required inspections on out-of-state vehicles to be raised.
Originally set at $5, the fee structure will now be set as $15 for individuals seeking inspections. Additionally, sherrifs may appoint special inspectors to dealerships. For dealerships that don’t qualify for a special inspector, the fee will be $15, and for those that do qualify, it will be $30.
For those who need an inspector to travel to examine their vehicle, the fee will double from $10 to $20.
