BP is considering selling its lubricants business, Castrol, according to Reuters.

In a report from Bloomberg News this past Tuesday, people familiar with the matter shared that selling Castrol is one of several options BP is considering in an effort to regain investor confidence, following years of underperformance.

The sale could potentially be worth around $10 billion in a deal. A potential investment could possibly be announced during BP's capital markets day on Feb. 26.
