Old World Industries Acquires J&J Lubricantes

OWI’s acquisition of J&J comes after 25 years of partnership, and will bring new growth potential for OWI in Mexico.

Old World Industries, manufacturer of PEAK automotive antifreeze and coolant and BlueDEF diesel exhaust fluid, has acquired J&J Lubricantes, a manufacturer and distributor of automotive coolants, oils, and other lubrication products based in Monterrey, Mexico.

As shared in a recent press release, OWI’s acquisition of J&J comes after 25 years of partnership, and will bring new growth potential for OWI in Mexico.

OWI will have a focus on local manufacturing and distribution of its flagship products, and expects to improve lead times, speed up the time to market for new products, and enhance support for customers.

“Our goal is to build on the base of our strong history with J&J Lubricantes,” said Warren Morrow, OWI Chief Operating Officer. “This will allow us to serve customers with improved lead times and better distribution costs.”
