Stellantis has issued a recall for over 50,000 vehicles due to potentially faulty fuel pumps, reports Reuters.

Included in the recall are certain 2017-2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2018-2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles, comprising a total of 53,849 units.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the fuel pumps in recalled vehicles may contain components prone to damage from heat. This could lead to reduced fuel supply and even sudden power loss.

Owner notification letters are expected to go out by Oct. 29, though NHTSA has said a fix for the issue is still under development.
