Long-Time Quick Lube Brand in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Under New Ownership

A quick lube staple in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, has successfully changed hands in ownership, reports The Berkeley Observer.

Performance Fast Lube was first opened in 1996 by Fred Hall, who ran the shop alongside Marlene Hall for nearly three decades now. As of Sept. 2, the shop is now being run by Ron and Jodi Gathercole.

The Gathercoles moved to Moncks Corner from Texas, and came to town seeking opportunities to start a new business. The pair will keep the remaining team in place, while rolling out a new website and rewards program for customers.

The shop’s new owners intend to serve the communities of Moncks Corner, Goose Creek, and Summerville, believing their presence as a local brand to be a benefit for them.

“We’re local. Our customers see the owners right here in the shop. That personal connection and community investment set us apart,” said Ron.
