Ford has recalled nearly 60,000 vehicles for a coolant leak issue, reports USA Today.

According to Ford, the issue lies with the engine block heater, which may be prone to cracking and leaking coolant. This could lead to a short circuit with the block heater plugged in and prompt an underhood fire.

Owners of recalled vehicles are instructed to not plug in the block heater until a fix is performed. Notices are expected to be mailed by Oct. 24.

The following Ford and Lincoln models are included in the recall:

  • 2016-2019 Lincoln MKC
  • 2016-2018, 2020-2023 Ford Explorer
  • 2019-2020 Ford Fusion
  • 2019-2024 Ford Ranger
  • 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair
  • 2020-2022 Ford Escape
  • 2021-2024 Bronco, Bronco Sport
  • 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles
