A Jiffy Lube employee in Chamblee, Georgia, was saved by local police after collapsing at the shop, reports CBS News.

When Pablo Santiago collapsed at the Jiffy Lube on Peachtree Boulevard and stopped breathing, Officer Dustin Bulcher was just across the street when the call was sent out. Within moments, he was there and began performing CPR on Santiago. Other officers arrived, and took turns doing chest compressions for nearly 15 minutes.

“The only thing in the back of my mind is, you know: do the best I can, pray for him while I'm doing it,” told Officer Elvin Kerr.

Finally, the officers felt a faint pulse from Santiago, and saw color return to his face.

“When I initially get there, and his face is blue, and then you actually see his life is actually coming back to him, his color return and stuff like that,” said Officer Brandi Boddy. “It's kind of relief, but it's not. I mean, the battle is not over until he's actually okay.”

Santiago, who suffered cardiac arrest, said that the chances of surviving such an incident were minimal, and it was only possible due to the quick action of the officers. He is now back home, able to spend Christmas with his children. A few weeks into his recovery, he had the chance to thank Bulcher over FaceTime.

“I really am eternally grateful,” Santiago said. He added: “Whenever you want to come for the Puerto Rican meal, I got you.”
