Strickland Brothers, Take 5 Recognized Among Smart-Growing Franchise Companies
A pair of quick lube brands were among the 40 companies honored in Franchise Times’ annual Fast & Serious list, which ranks the top 40 smart-growing franchise brands. The rankings, which were released on Dec. 30, were developed by the publication “to identify fast-growing franchise systems that also have staying power, as an antidote to multiple other rankings that include too many one-year wonders,” according to the Franchise Times website.
Rankings on the list are based on a 10-point formula that includes percentage sales growth, percentage unit growth, dollar sales growth, and numerical unit growth over the past three years.
Strickland Brothers checked in at No. 16 on the list. Although that was a drop from the No. 4 spot the company achieved a year prior, Strickland Brothers was credited for its sales growth of 138% from 2022 to 2024 and a three-year unit growth rate of 88.6%.
Meanwhile, Take 5 Oil Change earned the No. 22 ranking on the Franchise Times list, finishing 2024—the most recent year tracked for the rankings—with $1.4 billion in systemwide sales, a 50.7% increase over three years. The company’s number of units grew by 38.8% over the same period.
