A Piston Lube & Automotive store in Spring, Texas, recently held a multi-day grand reopening ceremony which saw celebration as well as efforts to help those in need within the local community.

As shared with NOLN, the store at 6948 Cypresswood Drive operates four bays with five employees. The location marks the first branded Piston Lube & Automotive: part of the larger Piston brand, including Piston Lube Centers and Piston Carwashes.

Held Aug. 26 through 29, the grand reopening offered free Royal Purple oil changes and True Brand additives in exchange for canned food donations. The store collected 454 lbs of food to donate to Houston Food Bank, providing the equivalent of 378 meals.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make our grand re-opening such a success!” wrote the company in a recent LinkedIn post. “We’re excited for this next chapter and even more proud to begin it by making a difference in our community.”
