    Size Matters

    Trico Products Corporation recently announced it has added nine new part numbers to the Trico Exact Fit wiper blade line.

    Trico now offers five new rear integral blades under part numbers 8-A, 10-A, 12-K, 12-L and 12-M. The new part numbers fit popular 2017-2006 year models of Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Saab, Scion and Toyota vehicles. The company has also introduced four new Exact Fit beam wiper blades. The new part numbers include 16-17B, 20-17B, 26-17B and 28-17B and fit popular 2017-2015 year models of Land Rover
    , Lexus, Subaru and Toyota vehicles, which are equipped with the new push button FZ wiper arm.

    The recent additions to the Trico Exact Fit wiper blade line add coverage for approximately 5.2 million vehicles on the road today, equipped with rear integral and beam wiper blades.

    Lock It Down

    Eagle Klaw is a patented multi-point tension fastener that grips stronger and installs easier and faster than any other car mat clip.

    Air for All

    Robinair announced the 34288NI air conditioning recovery machine as the newest addition to the Robinair product line up. Combining simple operation with superior accuracy, the 34288NI is an entry-level unit suited for smaller shops that service passenger vehicle A/C systems. The machine recovers, recycles, evacuates and recharges R-134A mobile A/C systems, covering most of today’s passenger vehicles.

    The 34288NI meets or exceeds SAE J-2788 requirements, with over 95 percent recovery efficiency and precise charge accuracy to better
    than a half-ounce of the programmed charge amount.

    The Robinair 34288NI also features a programmable vacuum function that defaults to 15 minutes and can be set for up to 99 minutes. Once set, the remaining time is displayed on the screen. A refrigerant management system displays use and monitors remaining filter life. For ease of maintenance, the machine alerts technicians when one-third of filter life remains.

    Software Update

    OTC has announced the release of Bravo 2.9, the latest update to its diagnostics software for the Encore. The update includes new features as well as additions in diagnostic capabilities and increased vehicle coverage. In total, the release adds coverage for 656 new systems and 2,240 new vehicle-ECU combinations.

    Key enhancements include the ability to share and edit previously saved and auto-navigate the “View Saved Tests” feature to the location where AST/ASDTC/DTC shared reports are saved. Improving on the language capability of the software, users can now retrieve freeze frames in both Spanish and French.

    The VIN entry screen has been updated to only allow input of valid characters while also disabling auto text suggestions for easier inputs. Technicians can now pick which data items to load with the addition of a new custom data stream support within special tests.

    Leak No More

    Bosch recently introduced the new HPT 500 High-Pressure Diagnostic Leak Tester for North America, offering high-pressure diagnostic leak detection for heavy-duty vehicles and turbocharged passenger cars. HPT 500 provides a solution for heavy-duty vehicle diagnosis and repair by producing a larger volume of smoke necessary for these larger systems. The machine delivers leak detection smoke at up to 30 psi, pr
    oducing higher pressures than standard machines and simulates truck boost to safely test with the engine off.

    With dual operating modes, technicians can alternate between smoke-only and air-only cycles to confirm repairs. The machine also features a flow control valve, remote shut off, a flow rate gauge and system pressure and test pressure gauges.
