June 4, 2019—In the trade war with China, the Trump administration delayed a decision on whether or not to impose additional tariffs that specifically target vehicles and auto parts.

But the existing tariffs already in place on Chinese goods already include some widely used items, and suppliers have been feeling the effects for months.

Those items include windshield wipers, oil filters, engine air filters, fuel filters and fuel pumps. The lists also include things like leaf springs, oil additives, car radios and vehicle lights.

The items on the list are subject to a 25-percent tariff if imported from China.
