Ford Recalls 63K Vehicles for Windshield Problem

July 11, 2022

The recall impacts certain 2022 Ford Bronco and Ranger vehicles.

July 11, 2022—Ford is issuing a recall for some 2022 Bronco and Ranger vehicles due to a windshield issue.

According to Torque News, a recent filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reveals that windshields may have not bonded properly to certain 2022 Broncos and Rangers during production. As a result, the windshields could potentially become dislodged from the vehicle.

While this phenomenon could result in a crash or injuries, the NHTSA lists no such incident. Ford has recalled around 63,000 vehicles due to this windshield problem, and the automaker is expected to begin outreach to affected drivers on July 11, 2022.

If windshields are found to be improperly bonded, they will be replaced for the driver free of charge.
