Christmas Burglar Sought in Haughton Theft

Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a man caught on surveillance video breaking into a Haughton oil change business and stealing items valued around $1,200.

The slickster drove into the parking lot of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on 980 Highway 80 in Haughton (formerly Time It Lube) and broke into the business just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 25. The man was dressed in light-colored clothing and rummaged through the business for about 26 minutes before walking off with a 42” television, six Interstate vehicle batteries and power tools, all with an estimated value of $1,200. He drove off around 11:22 p.m.

Detectives believe the man is about 6 feet tall of unknown race, driving what appears to be a four-door Hyundai Sonata or similar vehicle.
